if you can...GET A HAYNES/CHILTON'S MANUAL PLEASE..it'll save you so many worries!!!!! I'd love to help you with the processes, but describing them can be somewhat difficult, get yourself a manual especially since its your first time!

Re: i know

you ask the store to order the manual for you....Carparts.com also has the Haynes manuals for ~$16!

yeah unclamp the old PCV hose off the PCV valve(located on the manifold), unscrew the old valve, screw in the new valve and reattach the hose and re-clamp...chances are your hose might be crakced(since you've never replaced it) so you might need a new hose too!

Public Library might have one too to tide you over until you get your own copy.

Spark Plugs...

If you're gonna change your own spark plugs, two quick tips:
1) Get the spark plug driver and 6" extension for your rachet... Y'know... The one with the rubber lining.
2) DON'T FORCE IT... I can't imagine what a b*tch it would be to try and get a broken spark plug out...

And if you feel mischevious.. Keep the ceramic from the old plug <whistles innocently>
