Cam Problems, HELP!!!!

The problem started with what i thought was vtc clicking. I grounded the selenoids but the problem continued and got worse. One week later the sound got VERY loud so I dug in and found that only one bearing was holding the (exhaust?)cam on the rear bank of cyliders down. One bearing was broken in half and the other two each had one bolt broken off. This caused the cam to slightly raise on one side and the rollers, wich contact the cam lobes, fell off of the lifters and rattled around in the cylinder head. Anyone with any ideas as to the cause of the problem? Also can i just replace the bearings or should i get a whole new cam? The journals in the cam are slightly worn, but i just need the car to last till summer when i get my new max. Also, anyone know were I can buy just 1 camshaft?

if the journals are worn get a new cam because it will just wear the new bearing in no time if you don't also you want it to last more than just the summer unless you aren't selling it or are gonna tell the person you sell it to about the problem, but that is just my opinion.

You should be able to buy just one cam from the dealer if not try a junk yard but they usually want to sell the whole head or motor.
