other than the fact the filter is a piece of crap and you won't get that long shiny tube, then I don't know if it's worth it or not.

I hope some will make a cheap generic version of the CAI for our max. It sucks how the honda boy gets 30 dollars CAI and we are stuck with 200 dollars one. Where is the justic in the world.

please show me a honda CAI that produces decent power and is good quality that only costs $30. Believe me...they pay as much as we do for quality intakes...AEM and ICEMAN are the best CAI's for them and they go for 200+ on average.

All you're paying for is a simple tube and a filter. Does it REALLY matter if the tube was coated in "special aluminum powder"??? It's all a gimmic to rip people off even more. I bet if you get a generic tube and change the filter to a K&N you will get the same results as the AEM CAI and at a cheaper price as well. ok provided that the price won't exactly be 30 dollars cuz of the K&N filter, but 80 bucks it's still cheaper then 200 right.

this is true...just reread your first statement. that's not what you said. I've done 5 custom CAI's with precut mandrel bent tubing from JC Whitney for friends (not maxima's). Anyway i was referring to your original comment that honda guys get CAI's for 30 and we pay 200. That custom fabrication would apply to us then too...so don't complain
