My infamous starter problem solved. Answer inside.

So, my starter stopped working in February. After buying one at Shuck's Auto, it worked for 5 weeks, then dumped again. I then replaced 4 other starters up until last week-all under the 'lifetime warranty' Schuck's provides. When the last one would not work, I went to local shop that specializes in rebuilding starters for Japanese cars. They replaced the starter and it works perfectly. The mechanic as well as a good friend said that it is common for rebuilt starters sold by retail joints such as Schuck's to have a 4 in 5 failure rate. Word to the wise-buy your fluids, filters, etc. from a place like Schuck's. Buy your mechanical items from a dealer or a local rebuild shop. What a nightmare it has been having my car not start in shopping mall parking lots, at work, at movie theaters, etc. Good luck to all.
