$500 + lowering mistake

I write this as a warning to all my Max people. I dropped my car 1.5 inches (KYB, Eibach setup) then I put on 18' inch Roh RT's about 4 months ago. I just found out that I wore out my tires on the inside down to the wire. Good thing N34TZ (sorry possible mis-spell, he has the red Maxima with 17'RT's)gave me a good deal on some Toyo Proxxes. In addition I need an alignment as well as a camber kit total including tax 530.42. I hope this would help anyone looking to do the same set up have the same problem l8ter on.

Anytime you lower a car, it screws up the toe/camber settings. You should always get an alignment after you work on parts of your suspension that affect alignment. Common knowledge really.

Intially when I had my 16' Reflex ROH's on the car I had it aligned. That was maybe about a year prior to these new 18' wheels. But then again living in New York I probably need to get my car aligned every month.

You need a camber correction kit. I put mine on then had it aligned and it put the car back into factory spec's.

I actually have the camber correction kit. However when I went to get it aligned i was told the car is to low for thier equipment. So I have to find a place that can do it. I probably will head down to Queens Blvd to see if I could find a shop.

they're BS'ing you. any shop CAN do the alignment, as long as you can get the car onto the rack. they just don't want to.
