what kind of 1/4 mile times to expect. . .

i was looking at 1/4 mile times and i noticed that jonny max ran a Best run: 14.6@94.6mph with comporable mods. the only difference was he has a JWT ECU and i'm running my stock ecu for now, i have an aluminum flywheel and he didn't have one of those mentioned. do you guys think my 1/4 will be pretty comporable with my mods? i'm just curious. prolly a stupid thread but till the rain quits here, i just gotta keep bench seat racing

there was somebody here who ran a 15.0 with just CAI and underdrive pulley, so I think you should be able to pull a 14.6.

I expect you should be johnnymax, depending on how good of a driver you are. The ecu wouldnt help as much as a flywheel, my guess is with hard launches, you should be running mid 14's easy, with occasionall dips into low 14's

It all depends on what kinda condition of your car and how good of driver you are. Johnny's ran a best of 14.6 with all those mods where as Czar ran a 14.8 with just a pop-charger. Matt runs a 15.0 with CAI and UDP. If your cars in good shape you should run the same as Johnny if not a little better. If you get the ECU like him you should beat his time pretty good. I don't think Johnny's car is that fast for all the mods he has.

Just curious, what are these "sticky" 225/50 tires?

It's amazing some of the times you can wring out of our car with little to no mods - that's a very nice time Ryan. You must live in one of those low-temperature, low-altitude areas!

Vtecstalker is running 14.7s in his VE 5spd...mods are intake, Y-pipe and Greddy and some good *** driving! I'd say 14.6-.7 or lower for you since you have a little more mods!

If this is your very 1st time to the drag strip don't expect to get out of the 15's . Given you don't miss a shift and your race weight isn't over 3350lbs and provided you cut good for newbie 2.4-2.5 60fts. You "should" run consistant 14.9-15.2s. If you haven't bump the base timing to 19* and try to keep the engine temp around 160-180*F while you are at the tree. Other than that don't miss a shift or drive through the water box (go around it and don't do a burnout it will hurt you).

i've been a few times. i ran a 15.2 nearly stock. i posted my times in the sticky. also, i've tried burnouts and non burnouts, and i get better times when i warm teh tires up. i was running 15.2's consistantly nearly stock. i was just wondering what i'd get with the new mods. . . thanks for the advice man. normally i ice the plenum as well. but that only seemed to help a little. . .
