Burnt Rubber Smell under Hood?
On my 93 Max. GXE auto, there's a burnt rubber smell that comes when going up steep hills. It has a new tranny 14,000 miles ago at 62,000 miles and new OFL, dealer that is slightly overfilled and oil spilled on the tranny area.
The dealer suggested leaking of antifreeze or oil, but it doesn't smell like that. More of a rubber smell. Any ideas?
I don't think I was going fast enought to burn rubber!
