Some Curiousity!!

I just recently did my tokico/sprint installation (took 2 days) and when I accomplished the rear, I noticed I didn't pput a couple of things back ....the O rings and on one of the coils, I forgot to put that plastic covering on it (the one that wraps around the top of the coil)....what i want to know is, is it mandatory that these to be installed and am i looking at any damage with not having them on....i really do not wanna take everything back apart, that DIY was such a PITA, but if i have to, i will!!!

It's probably for noise suppression. If it's noisy and bugs you too much, you will have to endure some more work. If it's quiet, then forget it. But keep them around just in case.

the seals in the rear should definitley be put in. they keep the oil from getting on the piston!! The tokicos are gas charged and The seals on them probably wont like the oil. this may lead to the shock failing (a possible reason for why the tokicos are known to blow is from imporoper installation!!).
I'm not sure of the other seal your are talking about, Is it the gasket that goes on the top of the front strut? If so I also forgot to put one on, but I dont think its much of a problem, It'll prevent rubbing between the surfaces. So I guess there might be a chance for rust to form prematurely, although those areas are not exposed to moisture as much (at least i dont think).

kinda off the topic, but how do you like the ride? What size wheels and tires are you running? I'm thinking about Sprints and Tokicos with 17s with 225/45/17.

o-ring on coil. Probably means the "condoms" that go around the bottom spring.

seal on the top. Probably the orange gasket that attaches to the upper strut mount.

I think anyway. If it's the dust boot, he had better dig in and put those in. But I can't really see someone forgetting those.

to be honest with you, i really don't feel a difference...my car does that suspension bounce (i like that) and i the handling has improved a lil, but i really don't feel a difference....i do notice that when I reach about 45 mph's, it gets a lil rough (just a lil) and road noise (sound of the tires on the road) is a lil louder. Thought when i got my alignment, that would solve that problem, but it didn't....I think it needs to be re-aligned though cause my car is pullin to the right. After the installation, it wasn't pulling at all, but i get it aligned and it pulls to the right...really weird!!

Oy yea, I'm still ridin on factory chrome Hopefully, after I get my leatherseats (from the GD going on), I plan to get some 18" chrome ROH RT's...I pray that i won't scrub!! From the searches (yes, I too use the search button ) I've done, I shouldn't!! THE DROP IS NICE THOUGH!! Still waitin for the rear to drop some more, but the front is nice!!

yeah, I think that with Sprints, the rear is always a little bit higher than the front. How much of a gap do you have with the stock wheels? Did you take any pics?
