My front struts are shot to hell, when i hit bumps it's like being in a boat on choppy water... should i replace more than the struts? (ball joints, etc....), or have a real mechanic check it out?

 

i know the question was dumb as SH%%, but i still thought someone would answer?

 

You only gave 14 min. for a response.

I would have all of the suspension checked out by a good shop if you don't know how to check the ball joints and such.

OR

Get a haynes or chilton manual and it should tell how to check each component.

For safety reasons I would either check it using a manual or get a shop to do it.

I know this wasn't much help but all I could give with such short notice.j/k

 

also not to flame or anything but since you are a lurker you may not know what is available to you.

There is a search on this forum and it is very helpful. Look in the upper right of the screen and you will find it.
