Oh yeah, and upgrade your underbody mounting brackets pronto if you haven't already.

I would get some heavy duty washers welded to the tabs on the rear of the chasis while you're at it. They're the ones the drag links bolt through for the rear bar. Both sides have broken on my car and it's in the shop as we speak getting the right rear bracket re-welded for the second time. The bar is too strong for those thin little stamped brackets and the bolts have a tendancy to pull right through the metal if you hit a nasty bump.

You think that would do it? (Or is that what you're doing now?) I was thinking this exact same route, but have heard a couple stories where the WHOLE bracket came off the frame.

It would be a lot simpler for me to go to Home Depot and get some thick washers with the right size hole and get that welded on, instead of scrounging up and cutting some 1/4" angle iron and drilling a hole...

(What's the hole size anyway? Looks like 3/8".)

I have had washers on my stock brackets for 3 1/2 years now and one only now broke again. I think they are fabricating a more substantial reinforcement for the bracket this time instead of just another washer. I haven't had the whole bracket come off. Yet.

BTW Bman, I have a 2K Courtesy FSTB sitting here to try this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!

Rear brackets only. Get on your hands and knees and you can see them (about 2" big) with the sway bar "connecting rods" ,they're called, hanging from them.
