Clutch questions

Just now i read a thing that mentions the "Clutch Master Cylinder". what is with this and do i have a clutch cable. im wondering because I had someone tell me i need a new clutch cable. can someone please answer my questions so I can take care of my problem.

As far as i've seen 3rd gen Maximas have hydraulic clutches. There is a hydraulic line that goes into the clutch master cylinder that may go bad and that may be what the mechanic is refering too. You never mentioned what your problem was? Sloppy clutch pedal, hard to go into gear.....?
