CAI INstall

I recently found a Place Racing CAI for a really good price, but the problem is, is that the intsall pics are for a fourth gen, does anyone here know where to find a good sequential install "manual" for a third gen? Thanks.

Vg or VE?

either one, they're pretty much the same.

If you need anything else more specific than that, then you shouldn't be doing the job.

I have a question. Looking at the sec to last pic on the first link how does water not soak the filter? I am not worried about the water getting to the engine but i thought the filter would get dirty real quick.

because you put the plastic fender liner back in the wheel well. the filter is over a foot off the ground, and it's covered up in all directions by something.

it gets a little wet in the rain, but nothing worse than what happens under the hood.

MATT!?!?

what did you use to cut that hole?? i have the accord CAI so i think im going to need a bigger hole.. because their is no bend in the second pipe, the 3 1/2 inch hole cutter bit is like 24 bucks at homedepot, so i dont think im going to be using that..

-do you think a dremel would do the job?
-how many inches. would you say that are left after the pipe passes through the hole.. this accord CAI is bigger i think i have to cut some off of that off.
-anyway i put the "S" part on my VG and it fits great! looks good too

okay.. so you have a piece of pipe that's BIGGER than the hole I cut.. and you're asking me what I used to cut the hole and what size you'll need?!

Ummmm, let me go take another hit on my crack pipe before I tell you to STOP DRIVING!! YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY NOT SMART ENOUGH TO THINK WITHIN REASON. SELL YOUR CAR AND BUY A BICYCLE.

now you tell me what size hole saw you need since you have the pipe in hand.

midol anyone? jk man. .. ..

dude, you should be fine with a dremel, but it's not gonna look very good. we did madmax's with an air chissel (sp?) and you can't see it. . . . .i dunno man, just make a fawkin hole and shove the pipe down there!

MATT

I have 93 GXE.......STOP LAUGHING!.....anyway, I have the K&N stock air element for it and I was wondering if routing the intake pipe from behind the headlight to the inside the fender would make much of difference since I would still have the stock filter box.
