My Amp Sucks HELP ME!!

My system is an Alpine deck with an 700 watt amp with 2 JL 12" W3...My bass doesnt stay on for whole songs, its only spirts of bass off and on throughout the song, wat the heck is happening...did circuit city do a crap as$ job in hooking it up or what, what should I look for for connections, PLEASE HELP!

Sounds like maybe a bad ground but should have posted this in the AUDIO&Electronics forum

Heres what i think you should do. . . . ive worked as a car audio installer for some time. . . first check the ground from the amp. if thats ok then check what size power cable your running. A 700 watt amp is a descent sized amp. you may need a bigger guage 8-4 guage. if that doesnt work. . check the conection from your amp to your subs.

feel free to
remove a trunk bolt and take some 400 grit sand paper and clear out all paint around it and it woudnt hurt to do the hole with a wire brush.this would be a good ground, i used it.

take it back to circut city...they should look at it for free

I used to install at Circut. If you had anywork done there the work is guarenteed for as long as you own the car
NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Take it back, it's the reason you payed for install instead of doing it yourself. The one thing I used to hate is someone who did not know what the were doing messing with an install I did.
