strong whinning noise from engine bay...

noticed it after sound system install...sounds like its behind the stering wheel area (under the hood)...any info? TIA!

it's probably the alternator... they'll make a whining sound when you've blown the voltage regulator.. pretty common problem in our alternators when you put too much strain on them.
