In the December issue of SCC there was an add for "Ricky Racer". It's some company that makes a bunch of different spring applications and stuff. They have coilovers in the ad for 279 a pair and it says they have them for every car. I was just wondering if anybody else saw this and talked to them about it. Anybody ever even heard of this place?

Doubt it.......

Every other car than a 3rd Gen MAXIMA!!! the rear suspension setup in our gen Maxs prevents us from getting real coilovers made!! Maybe you could just have some custom made ones for the front, but not worth the trouble!!! Damn NISSAN!!!! :bawl:

There is an ad in the December issue of Sport Compact Car by a compnay by the name of Ricky Racer. The ad implies that they might make a coilover for our cars.

clearance is very close in the rears, but it's also the design of the struts themselves..
the whole spindle/axle assembly is attached tot he bottom of our rear struts, which is why you can't buy aftermarket struts for our car- you can only buy cartridge inserts.

about the only way to add coilovers to the car would be to take a set (or three) of rear struts to someone and have them custom done. I'm not expert on coilovers, but I know it wont' be an easy job.
