this is for a Fed spec maxima. Y pipe is in good condition. It is not detoriating from rust or anything.

Wow do you have 3 in test pipe also I would have to then get 3in all the way back to muffler or even straight pipe. Wow that is going to be loud...

very interested, what kind of power increase could you see with a mod like this.

take into consideration that i would be adding this to a stock setup with a hks super megaflow intake kit.

how many miles are on the y-pipe also

why would you add 3inch exhaust piping on a stock maxima that would be loss in power not a gain get turbo or sc then put it on. pretty good deal on the pipe!

what about releasing back pressure, i completely understand that a turbo would be a much better choice, but i don't have that kind of money. i am basically looking to find ways to get all restricted power out of my 3.0

Bottom line, from take off you will lose low end torque. On top end you are right the car will not be restricted. Thats what he is saying. If you do not care about low end then your fine.
