im pretty sure that brake standing is not good for you trany but i dont think a few times wont hurt but dont do it a lot

It does improve the launch but I'm not sure how good it is for the tranny. My friend said something like its not good to do especially on front wheel drive car because the front brakes are stronger or something and it puts more stress on the tranny. Any validity to that? Still seems like a lot of guys do it...
