Went to the track and just got my PR CAI put on about a week ago. went with everything gutted... trunk wise. 1/2 tank of gas. and me... Auto by the way. best time was 16.177 @ 84.6 mph in the 1/4. is that bad, i was hoping to get atleast in the high 15's??? what happened. any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

did you torque brake? how about manually shifting (not sure if that makes a difference). also, try going with 1/4 tank or less, and reducing the pressure in your front tires.

also, do you have the stock GXE rims? (thats a good thing for the track)

 

how were the track conditions??? that can play a big role... especially in this d*mn summer heat. my auto ran a 15.6 stock, so if i were you i would just try to take it on a better day. and if u didnt break torque do so. you have to find what racing style suites you the best (ie. break torque, shifting with ur auto, using o/d) play with your car a bit

 

My Auto ran a 16.6 before the MEVI, and a 16.2 with it.

Of course, I had my speakerbox/amps in the trunk, and my 18" TSW's on.

Reset the ECU if you haven't yet and try that.

 

yeah i brake torqued and also tried manually shifting but that didnt work to well cause i thought i was in second and was in drive so when i went to put it in drive... so i thought i hit neutral. oh yeah the temps were around 80. and had stock gxe wheels with the hubs on it. tire pressure was 32 all the way around.

With a CAI and y-pipe, without N20, and being an auto, I got a best time of 15.81 at like 88 mph. But again, that is my car. Every car is different.....
