hey i have a 95 max gle with no fog and spoiler
first:
is it possible to take a front pumper off a (97-99 max SE) including the foglights, head lights (everthing) and put it on mine?
what about spoiler?
how does the fog light and the headlight werk?
will the curcuit match the 95 gle? if i get get all the wires, can i get it from nissan dealer?
sec question, for some reason my car doesnt accelerate 0-60 in 6.7 secs..( maybe 10 secs =P ) not even close, well sometimes. when my car accelerate from 0-30 it kinda jerks alittle and take a few seconds then go..
other times,( this happens often) after i brake and make a slow turn then try to accelerate my car jerks ALOT, and it wont go, if i floor it, the rpm go up but speed doesnt!!
i dont know why, so far i have change alot of engine part and spend about 1000$ on it already, but it seems those werent the problem.
last year, i had been using cheap gas like no name brands (9 petro),( since the gas was sooo expensive and i was broke as hellz) is that the problem? what do i need to change?
last question, not too important, i had changed brake and brake pads, if I brake, it makes this loud squeeking noise, waht's wrong there?

Yes, you can change your front bumper and add a spoiler if you have the $$.
Well, post what the $1000 was spent on and maybe we can give you an idea of what else needs to be done. To fix the "squeaking noise" you need to take your pads off and put some stop squeal blue guppy stuff on the backs of them. I forget what its called, but you can find it at autozone.

Yeah, if you find the part you want and its not screwed up, you might be able to get it cheaper. You might have to search for awhile though...
I have a 95 SE. It is an automatic and so is yours. THat 6.7 Sec 0-60 figure is for a standard. Yours still should be at 8. As for the squeaking your could need new brake pads or you could have the same problem i have. I have new brake pads, i even had the shop re-install new ones and they still squeak when i stop but they are brand new so maybe it's just the brakes on the Max. Who know???

Most premium pads come with a stick-on backing plate that effectively takes up the slack like the blue goop used to do. It works a whole lot better too. If your pads don't come with them, they can be found at most parts stores. Don't use the blue goop!

I have a 1995 Maxima SE
I bought:
The 1999-bumper, grille, headlights, foglights...and did a complete change-over. No modifications were required. The wiring harness I had already in place on my 95 worked perfectly for the headlights and foglights too. Even the foam board behind the 95 bumper fits the 99!
Let me reiterate:
NO MODIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED!
Hope this helps man...later.

MAX RULE!!!
cant wait till 2004 new maxis coming
If you have a 5spd, that means that your clutch may be slip. If you have an auto then I'm not sure if that is a tranny issue also, but it sounds like that to me.Originally posted by IcY pRayr

I replace the front pads recently and couldn't manage to re-install the anti-rattle spring (I think that's what it's called); anyone experienced with this, help me out. I notice that when I use the brakes now at low speed, like in a parking lot, I get some squeeking, but I also didn't install new backing plates, just put the old ones back on.

I have a good answer for two of your questions.
1. The slipping around turns is the transmission. get it checked out. Trans shops ussually check it out for cheap or free.
2. The sqeeking brakes. My car did the same thing. I brought it to 10 shops....finailly someone knew. It was the rotors. They were stock rotors and when you change the brake pads time after time and don't change the rotors, the rotors get smooth and shine causing them to squeek and not stop as effectively.
