use 3M side molding tape. Its the same stuff thats originally on there. It will dake some time cutting the tape in lil pieces and sticking it behind the emblems though.

If this is the same stuff that's originally on there, then I assume it's just as easy to remove later on, right?

i have a black maxima and i think it looks amazing with the shaved emblems, and so much cleaner. but i dont have a spoiler on yet, so i left the nissan emblem there for now, but once the spoiler comes its off. as far as putting them back on, its fairly easy, just get some foam double sided adhesive and cut in out to fit (thats the hard part though) and stick it back on. and i just pulled it off with a screw driver, but be careful and a heat gun works great! just make sure to use like a clay bar or polisher afterwards to get ride of the marks, good luck

i agree. i got a deep evergreen 98 gxe, shaved it all, but it looks incomplete without doing something about the keyhole. i'm not planning on shaving it, is there any other way to hide it?

I like the look of the backside without the burger on it (just the MAXIMA) if you are going for the sporty but luxurious look. It looks good on the 4th gens because our taillights are long. However, if you want the sportier look and you have a body kit or something I would take all the emblems off. I plan to take the MAXIMA emblem off if I get the Stillen Kit. It just seems to "fit" better in my opinion.
Taking the burger off was easy. Tools needed = "Goo Off" (for the residue left behind by the double stick tape), my finger nails, and the Miami heat. I just let my car sit in the sun for a while and when I went to take the emblem off it was easy. The sun had done the same job a heat gun would have. It was easy to pull off and then I used the "Goo Off". A nice wash and wax and it was all clean.
By the way, anyone think I am crazy for wanting to put the Stillen Kit on my 97' with 85K. Some people have been telling me to just save my money since this car may not last me much longer.

I have my *** shaved all the way.
At 1st, I just shaved the Nissan hamburger but then I shaved the Maxima sign over a week ago. Looks good to me but i need to color in that keyhole because it stands out too much being that my car is Superblack
but i think it looks good with the emblems too..

At first I didn't like the completely shaved look, but now that I'm used to it I love it. Next I'm going to paint my trunk lock.
