i shaved off maxima and thought that i can make the nissan emblems match each other front & back. But after getting my rims...people started to note to me that the nissan emblem in the back doesn't belong and that it throws off the clean cut look as you view the car from the back side.

Should i shave off nissan emblem or leave it?

It's a personal preference : shave it off OR keep the MAXIMA only. And a spoiler would be a nice touch

I say shave it completely, or take the hamburger off and put the MAXIMA back on. White max's tend to look better with the lettering, as opposed to fully shaved.

The emblem doesnt really look right on its own.

Leave it on. I think on a white maxima you need something on the back otherwise the rear looks bloated.

Oh yeah......get a spoiler.

Id say put both of them back on. I dont see why shaving both emblems makes the A$$ of the car look better. Its a Maxima, Made by Nissan. Keep it that way, so ppl not so inlightened with cars, can say, "OH HEY, THATS A NICE NISSAN MAXIMA" Duh!

gonna say what other have said... atleast put the maxima emblem back on and take the nissan one off... or have them both on... my opinion shaved doesn't look that good... (and as far as my women go... i like a manicured lawn better than no lawn...) so just try different combinations... maybe the 5th gen emblems... they look tight

Now that I actually looked at that Picture. Id say dont worry about the emblems, remove your MUD FLAPS immediatly. That right there gives your car 10 HP off the bat!

New thought

My advice is to shave it, but then put it on at the same height that the "maxima" was on there. It looks like it is up too high. I would center it somewhat on the trunk, but leave SOMETHING on there. I am about to remove the "m a x i m a" from my trunk and either put the hamburger or a "M_A_X_I_M_A" emblem in its place.

I think that there has to be SOMETHING on there...

Leave it on there >>

If you consider what most of the other communities are doing...the BMWs, Audi, VWs, etc, they mostly shave the model nomenclature and trim level, but leave the make emblem on. Beside, there a hamburger on the front...so it's nice and even this way.

Shave it all off.
Personally, I like the look.
And I think the burger by itself looks silly.

I shaved the back of mine mostly for looks
but I also like the idea that people who don't know cars won't know what just blew past them.

Once I shaved, I thought the chrome trunk lock stood out too much.
I popped the lock out (didn't remove it, just the fork-clip inside
so it would push out a little), sanded it, primed it and painted it to match the body color.
Much better. But maybe not so important on a white car...

I was thinking of removing the front burger too, but I think it might look kind of "naked"
and I don't know what to put in it's place. GTR? nahh, I don't think so.
Maybe a skull and crossbones...

I Say leave the burger on the trunk...i like where it sits ont he car and how its the only thing on the trunk. It looks phat againt the white car. I have a white max to and i have been wanting to shave off the "maxima" mysellf but i did not know what it would look like to leave only the burger.

So far I added a 2K2 "SE" emblem on my '98 SE (also white) & soon I'm thinking of taking off the old burger and putting on the 2K2 burger, while keeping the existing "maxima" emblem" (I'll post a pic of my new emblem soon), will that look cool?
