Installed Y_Pipe, HATE sound!

Ok, I got my y-pipe in tonight. I bought a used Stillen and installed it. I love the power but HATE the sound. I have the dreaded "bees in a can" sound! Is there any way to eliminate this noise?

Also, it's entirely too loud with the car-sound cat, and 2.5" exhaust all the way back. Can anyone recommend a decent muffler that's not a straight through design? I want to soften the sound level, not the performance.

Any help would be great!

Justin

Does your b-pipe eliminate the "s" section just behind the cat, where the o2 sensor is?

I have a 5th gen muffler and it's perfect. My setup: POP intake, Stillen 2-piece Y, RT-Cat, Courtesy B, and 5th gen muffler. My car has a nice low tone till 4,000 RPM when it opens up. Exhaust system is really quiet with the windows up and sounds cool with the windows down. For reference, it's just a little quieter than my brother's 94 3.28 stock system.

you know if you kept your stock muffler, the sound would not be so loud...

i have warspeed USED y-pipe and i also have the bees in a can sound and i heard if u fix the flex section (i guess that funny part with all the crossing, the sound will go away. Warspeed does it for 50 bucks...if u can wait a few without a car, stillen might also have a repair shop for it.....

I just spoke with Dallas yesterday and he said that it could be repaired for $75 with all the parts / labor. Though I don't think that I'll get it repaired. I have other plans *evil grin*
