is it safe to spray paint polarg corner bulbs?
i wanted to spray paint the cornering polarg hyperwhite bulbs i have with high temp silver paint so that the blue color doesn't show through the lenses. i know that other people spray paint the amber blinkers so that the amber color doesn't show through the clear corners, but they probably don't get too hot because they aren't on all the time, while the polargs are on all the time (at night). will they get too hot and burn the paint off?
They will explode and totally blow out the corner lights.
This happened to me, I even had to have the front fender sheetmetal repaired from the blast. I'm just lucky there werent any people up near the front of the car when they "cooked off."

Use high temp paint and only dust them lightly with paint just to cover the Blue color. I did my Amber bulbs and had no problems at all. Even ran them at the higher wattage too.
