I have done a search on the HKS mega flow intake, and didn't find out much on it. I was wondering if any of you had it and what you think of it. Does it make for good gains? Is it worth the money? Should I stick to getting CAI? Thanx

 

I have the HKS filter. I'll list the pros and cons here.

Pros:
Better gas consumption
Sounds great- V8 sound.
slight HP increase -no butt dyno difference.

Cons:
foam filter filters very poorly - from intake comparison tests
recommended filter replacement every 5-7500 miles.
filters cost about $13 each.
initial cost (at $200 its rather pricey)

The cons outweigh the pros- so I'd recommend sticking with the cold air option.

Personally I love my intake because of just the sound. Way meaner than other intakes due to the way the HKS sucks in air from the frontal 180 degrees.
