Tranny Prob. ?? ACT Clutch ??

OK Ever since I installed my clutch I have an unsite-full "grinde" when I engage first and reverse...Its when I already have the car fully in gear and clutch pedal to the floor and I start to bring my foot off the clutch and as I move foward the littlest bit I feel and hear a grinding noise coming from in where the clutch is. It disapears after the car is in motion and the clutch is engaged...I really dont know what this is. ACT sais its the Tranny's 1st gear going bad and the guy that installed it said it may be a Tranny problem...I think I got a bad clutch..its been doing this since I did the change and hasnt gone away...I have the HD-MM clutch kit from ACT. Please help me tranny guys...My macanic, that I should have had done it but was away on vaction, said its all normal and its the two surfaces of the clutch and flywheel meeting and nothing to worry about but its really annoying and it feels like something is way wrong...

-Matt
I had an official macanic work on...STAGE 1 Automotive to be exact

I do not have the ACT, but after hearing a fellow .org member's ACT in action, I think it is sorta normal. Your mechanic is right, it is the two surfaces rubbing together to create that sound. Sorry I can't give you a definite answer....

yea i installed mine tonite and it does that too, from what i know that is the clutch chatter we hear so much about, how long have u had urs in? its supposed to go away and from what i know seems to be normal for the breaking in period of the clutch. Ill let everyone knows, but within a couple hours it wasnt as bad as the first take off, but we'll see. im not rilly worried
