I've never heard of a stock vehicle with progressive springs. They are linear.

Progressive springs remain the same ride height regardless of the load? So linear change as the load changes? I've heard of progressive springs, but never really found out what they are exactly.

What? No.

Progressive springs get stiffer as the load is increased. The benefit of this is a more comfortable ride when just cruising, but when you start pushing the car hard you have a stiffer spring rate to aid in handling. These still fall short of stiff linear rate springs in handling, but are far more comfortable to ride around on.
