Difference between cold and hot days
Maybe this will be a lame post. Oh well, I can't have 100% post effciency all the time.
Just an observation I made recently..
Last week it was 85 degrees here in seattle, and my car felt slow and sluggish.
Today it was about 65, and vroooom. She's mad fast.
i had no idea heat made that much difference! I knew it was .1 or .2 seconds on the 1/4 mile, but the difference for my car appears to be night and day.

I know what you mean. I feel the same way.
I think temperature plays an important part. Look at the times people are getting at the track. I'm sure most of their better times took place during cooler temperature.
As far as everyday driving, there's no way to prove it just our butt dyno to go on.

Yup Yup Cold weather GOOD!
Yeah, just look at it this way. Hot weather/humidity nice and thick makes you choke when you breath it in. Same as your car. Cold weather, refreshing and helps your car run better. Nitrous, um um well much much more refreshing much more cooler. It's like the red bull of weather.

Here's the write up of how much temperature can affect the performace of our Maxima's. What's fun is when it's about 5F outside....it's like another Y-pipe was put on....

Guys (and Ladies):
It's simple high school physics.
The hotter the temperature, the further apart the oxygen molecules. On a hot day, with each intake stroke, your engine is bringing in less oxygen to burn with the fuel than it would on a cooler day.
This is the basic idea behind CAI's. With NOS you're just adding more oxygen regardless of the temperature, but as always, cooler is better.
At home I have a chart that co-relates air temperature to altitude - i.e. a given air temperature is equal to a certain altitiude. So, in Denver on a hot day, your performance would truly suck.
