Dyno vs. 1/4Mi Database

I know there are dyno threads\forums and 1/4Mi time forums, but i was thinking how interesting would it be to plot the two against each other. One plot for manual and one for auto (since the dif in 1/4Mi times there does not have to do with HP). This way we get to see the reality of diminishing returns. Obviously weight has a lot to do with this, so maybe I could factor that in somehow, but since Max's will weigh in similarly, we may bet a nice smooth graph neglecting weight.

Of course I want only your official dyno HP\torque and 1/4Mi slips with the same car configuration. Any other suggestions are welcome. Maybe I can also factor in things like what RPM max torque and power are reached at etc.

What do you guys think? Good idea? Not possible? What???

There are a few major problems with this idea:

1) Dyno numbers from different dynos aren't really comparable. Different types of dynos give different results and even different machines of the same type give different results.

2) Some people are great drivers in underpowered/average powered cars, while others are crappy drivers in very powerful cars.

If we had one dyno that was totally consistent, in a controlled environment where weather conditions never changed, and a robot driver on one single track that was also in a controlled environment where consistency was guaranteed it would work. In the real world a plot of power vs 1/4mile time would be a totally random scatterplot.

Preach on.

the only things u can do is guesstimate. take ur stock dyno compare it to mod dynos and think about what it should take off ur 1/4 times.
