Appropriate voltage for Intake Air Temp. Sensor

Hey all,

My MIL recently came on a few days after I cleaned out my throttle body (oh man, it was dirty). The code thrown was 0401 (intake air temp. sensor). Now, I took out my Haynes manual and tested the sensor myself... the thermistor appears to be working just fine according to the specs given in the manual. However, Haynes says that the sensor should be receiving 5.0 volts, and I measured it at a consistent 4.85V. Is this what's causing the error? I can't think of anything else it could be. I was actually getting this code about a month ago, so I brought it in and ended up having a new Aux. Air Control Valve put in (and now I'm wondering if that was really necessary...)

Anyway, is 4.85V close enough, or should it really be 5V? If it should be 5V, does that mean I need a new ECU?? If someone could check the voltage to their (working) sensor and let me know the result, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

No, no.. I tested the thermistor (resistor) and it is fine. What I'm asking about is the voltage that comes from the ECU into the wiring harness for the temp. sensor.

Thanks...
