squeaky breaks!

Why does my 99 Maxima SE breaks squeaks so much? What should I do to fix this problem? The pad on it is still good and I do not need to change it. So what is causing all noise. Thanks

I don't know, but mine squeak too, and when im at a dead stop and slowly lettings go of the break I get a really fuggen loud rubbing noise, that is so annoying i could drive the car into a tree. I know my front pads need to be changed or at least within the next 600 miles or so, but everyone keeps telling me the rubbing noise is my rotor, but the rotor is ****en brand new 3 and half months ago so I don't have a clue! brakes are the only thing on the car that **** me off i swear.

Your rotors are fine but what they mean by that was you have to adjust something with your rotor to stop the squeaks I believe. I might need to do the same.

mine squeek sooo bad, my ears hurt w/ the windows down sometimes. I found out that since i have semi-metallic brakes, when i brake hard a layer of glass forms on the rotors and this causes the squeeking. I need to switch to non-metallic brakes or something
