2 more VIs installed, Write up updated
This past Friday I drove down to Austin to install my VI with Keven97SE. After installing 3 VIs the average time for the manifold R&R is ~3 hours. The electrical/vacuum will probably take longer, and be sure to leave time for troubleshooting. Keven provided many of my parts and he did a great job sourcing them. Everything that went on the car was OEM Nissan except for the Harlan
I need to get a few things painted and zip tie a few wires, but overall the install looks very clean and OEM.The VI didn't feel like that much after first driving the car, but after driving 220 miles back to Dallas you definitely need to reset the ECU and let it adjust to the new settings. Now the VI feels great, and feels like a VTEC system. When the VI kicks in you can hear the intake sound change as well, so it's definitely resonance tuned. I'll try to get some sound recordings soon.
Until then here's some new pictures to enjoy (at the bottom of the page).

Another interesting note is that the factory tach is off by about 300 rpms (it reads too fast). My yellow LED (via the Harlan) turns on at 5300-5400 even though it's set to go off at 5k.
