Nissan warranty?
Hey i bought my maxima last year with 52000 and i just hit 65000 and the damn clutch is slipping.......when i bought it it got an extended warranty i looked in the papers this moring adn was wondering if the it covered clutches? the papers dont say any thing about a clutch.......any of u have experience with this? does the warranty cover the clutch?
thanks
thanks
Well chances are they will look at your car and say you abused your clutch and abuse isn't covered. Then you can tell them to prove it, but of course they will find a reason and then try to charge you out the *** for tearing apart your car.
At least that was my buddies experience.

Not sure what you're saying. Generally all factory warranties cover the drivetrain for a longer period than the rest of the car. This probably applies to his "used car warranty" that he purchased. The whole point is moot though as wear items aren't covered regardless. Well, I take that back - in some circumstances Nissan (and some other manufacturers) will warranty a clutch if the car is below 12,000 miles. Just because that shouldn't happen on a brand new car. But is that covered in a used car warranty - no. They would be crazy to cover that - half the cars out there need a clutch at 60k and up.
Screw the warranty
Tell them you are going to sell the car and refund your warranty! Put some cash in your pocket. Oh, Im thinking out loud again. It's a chance with these warranties you might not even need one, but then again it could save you thousands. I'm in conflict with myself again, sorry!
