synchros?

How can you tell if your synchros(sp?) are going out? Sometimes when i drive i cant get into third right away, it just jams...have to wait a couple of seconds then it slides in. By then my rpms have dropped . This is really ****ing me off. Seems like ever since i had my clutch replaced( a local shop) the car just doesnt act the same. It even hesitates some times off the start? Any suggestions????

Regular sync wear is usually noticed by grinding shifting into 2nd or 3rd with mismatched revs. Of course other gears can go too but those are the most frequently hammered.

For your shifting into third thing, try a quick shift into neutral first, clutch out, clutch in, blip the throttle up again and try to grab third. If it still "jams"(no grinding right?) my guess is the clutch is misadjusted and not fully disengaging. Who did the clutch and what kind?

A shop close to my house, b&m transmissions. I dont remember what type of clutch it was, i have the paper work put up. There was a lifetime warranty on the clutch (supossodly) but only 90 warranty on labor.
