I brought the bar to my mechanic, and he couldnt rotate the bar or the rings enough to reduce the length to fit.. Whats going on.. its a generic brand name, but everyone has it.. Whats going on.. am i a dumb a$$ or does this happen...(no hating on that comment please)

 

A) why on earth would you pay a bloody mechanic to install a strut bar.....B), umm should fit fine....try extending it on both sides??

 

i dont have many tools for one.. two i almost stripped my bolts..three he wasnt going charge me.. thanks
Can anyone relate to this situation?

 

Remember, the bar only fits on one way...
One of the bolts is reverse threaded. Just play around with it till the holes line up. If you and a mechanic can't them to line up then it's either messed up or well lets just say that guy shouldn't be a mechanic...-
