FrankenIntake: Power "Dip" problem

**Initially posted in the General Forum, but since Im a 4th generation, figured I may get a quicker more detailed answer here**

Anyone with the frankenCar intake notice a "dip" in Rpms and torque when you reach around 60 mph? I've noticed since I've had the intake (Im auto) that the car pulls pretty hard under WOT up untill around 60mph then I get this weird "dip" in power and sound. The Rpms dip about 2 checks, as does the Speedometer i.e.: Goes from 62-60 for a second then begins climbing again with no problems. Anyone else have this happen? This is my first intake so Im not sure if this is normal. I ran a search on this but could did not pull up any similiar problems. Anyone?

I had a problem originally after I put on the Frankencar.
After I had it on for about 2 weeks when shifting from 1st to 2nd going 1/2 or Full WOT would cause the car to dip in power then pick back up. It felt like a misfire or dirty injector/filter.

It would only happen between 1 and 2 and last for a second. I checked
all the hoses/connections everything was good. After a week of
having that problem it stopped and has never come back!!

Not sure if this is the same as your problem.

If your OD is off, that may be your prob. If your OD is off, the lock up torque converter locks, and unlocks at that rpm. Go to 60 mph and turn the OD on and the rpms should recover

Heeey! An Answer! Thanks NmeMax. I think I see what your getting at in regards to the OD button, But if this were the case, shouldn't we be hearing about other automatics experiencing the same problem? At first I was think'n that maybe the installation was an issue, but now Im beginning to think that it may be my car.
