I got my testpipe installed. It was a lil rough gettin the bolts off the Cat, but once they were off it took 5 mins to put the test pipe on. It didnt make any real sound difference, but the car seems smoother. One thing I did notice was that when I used to rev my car i would go back to idol and sort of stumble. Now it is totally smooth. I will get back with MPG reports as soon as I can.

 

May I ask why you needed a test pipe in place of your cat? What are you testing, besides the effects on the ozone.

 

Careful of those splinters from huggin all those trees...
I may do that too soon since my OEM Cat is coming up on 120K miles and could start to clog exhaust flow.

 

I was gonna get a test pipe for my 5thgen.. I have a RT Cat, Y, Greddy cat... Would the Test pipe make a difference?

what are the maximum gains w/ a test pipe? Not only would it pollute but there goes ure emission tests... really worth it?

 

well, you put your test pipe back on before emissions, and take it off right after, duuh. I think also that test pipes cost less than aftermarket CATs and are way less restrictive. For me, i'd rather buy an aftermarket CAT, why... you can't pimp with your car while it smells like ****
