I have been going through the forum and have lerned a great deal, but i have a question about the the governor on the maxima, from what i have read its only active on the GXE w/o the sec. & conv. pkg. now is that correct and does it apply to both the auto and 5spd?

Also how can you tell if a GXE has the pkg? What options should i look for? this is for a 95/96.

check the FAQ's for answers but here's what i recall

All GXE's have a limiter auto and 5spd..
all GLE's have a limiter..

sec and conv..

well if the GXE has an alarm i'd assume thats the security part so ..

and Power seats you have the security and convenience package...that is prolly the easiest way to know. I believe I am correct on this, but I could be wrong.

and see for your self,if you hit 125 then you definatly don't have one and if you do just go to a junkyard and get a SE ECM for about $125 and swap them.
