exhaust help - rotten egg smell

It seems everytime I give it some gas (shift points ~4.5k rpm) to about 60mph, when I stop it reaks of rotten eggs. My friend said he smelled it too when i passed him on the highway going over 60mph (also driving lead-footed). I took it to infiniti and they said they checked the cat and everything was fine, which I'd love to hear how they managed that. I always use name brand 93 octane fuel (bp/amoco, exxon, hess). Is my cat-convertor clogged and infiniti is just ****in' me around? or anybody know of anything else to check?

btw: I tried power-breaking it up to ~2krpm for alittle bit when i came home tonight...I couldn't duplicate the smell. I also floored it shortly 'til I hit 4.5k rpm ~45mph and I couldn't get the smell either, it only seems to happens when i lay on the pedal above 50mph.

I would guess that your cat is clogged (as you stated above). That is most typically where the rotten-egg smells come from.

So how do i get infiniti to replace it

This car's still under the basic warranty.. Anybody have any ideas how I can prove this to infiniti so they can replace it. They're located on a busy street so I can't exactly go 70mph right before i go there..doh. pmo. So you guys think it's the pre-cat or main cat?
