Need opinion (struts situation)

I recently received my H&Rs and decided to hold off installation until I had some nice struts to go with them. Mostly for peformance and so that my stock ones would not blow out on me. I was going to save up for the KYB AGXs. Since they seem to be the best. However it would take me a while to save up the whooping $380 plus shipping. I saw a Maxima.org member selling his Tokico's for $165

"About 49k miles on the rears. The front have less the 2500 mikles on them they're practically brand new. Are you in NJ? you can come over and take a look at them if you like"

I could easily get these from him on the 15 of Sep 02. Have them installed along with my H*R soon after that, and then move on to rsb, fstb, and rstb. This would have my entire suspension done up before Halloween. If I wait to save and get the AGXs I'm looking at late late 02 possibly 03. Should I go with the used Tokico's? I wouldn't see why not, I did some research and I found that Tokico's are just slightly better than stock? What is that all about? Can they handle the H&R drop? Any info, suggestions, opinions, and the likes are welcomed!

They should be able to handle the drop, but I just have to tell you, I got used Tokicos about a year back, and I hate 'em. Get a new set of KYB GR2's if you're thinking about Toks. Or just save a little longer and get some AGX's; these may be more worth your while.

However, that is a pretty good price and if you're looking for something cheap...

Don't bother. Why would you get crappy used struts to replace your crappy used struts? Just calm down and keep saving your $$.

You know what you want and you know what you need. It's worth it to just keep saving and wait.

If you are itching to throw away $165 my PayPal ID is bennett.garner@normentind.com
