Found another place that has CF hoods for 4th gen
I just found this place that says they have CF hoods for 95-99 Maxima's. They do not have a picture on the site but they have a price listed. I'm going to give them a call on Monday and see what if they they have them in stock. Here's the link
High Quality $499.00

Medium Quality$399.00

I just e-mailed them to see if they have pic's of the hoods and to see if we could get a group buy going if they are good quality.

Hello and welcome to last year.
They just sent me some group deal pricing 3-4 $25 off, 5-7 $50 off, 8+ $75 off. I just sent them another e-mail to see if there hoods are made by fiber images. I'll let you guys know.
If I knew there was sufficient interest....
I investigated getting a 4th gen hood made a few months ago. At that time I did not feel that there is enough demand to justify the cost to prototype.
I looked into the creation of a high quality hood with no fitement issues. I investigated several options: a hood which allows for air to get into the engine via a scoop etc., a fiberglass only hood and a CF over fiber hood.
None of the hoods available for us are pure carbon fiber. They consist of carbon fiber layered over fiberglass.
----ANYWAY----
The obstacle is the cost to prototype.
I can get it designed, made and get the fitment guaranteed but I will not eat the cost of prototyping it.
So, if the demand was there and people were willing to place a deposit on a hood, I can get them made.
This is not my business.
a business associate of mine has been building and designing carbon fiber drag bodies and accessories for about fifteen years.
Again, this is not my business but, I do see a demand for a quality hood with no fitment issues.
Is the demand great enough to cover the cost of prototyping?
I can assure you that the cost of these hoods will be higher but they are all hand finished and not just popped out of a mold, thrown in a box and shipped out.
If anyone can get me a Rear Window spoiler off a Maxima, I can get these made.
I have been trying to get one for six months and have been highly unsuccessful so that leads me to believe there is a big demand
So fellows and ladies, let me know!

Here's what they said when I asked if the hoods were made by fiber images...........
Hi Nick. The hoods are not made by Fiber images. The quality on the "high
quality c.F hoods" we sell is very similar, but much cheaper in price. If
you purchase a Fiber image hood, you are paying in part, for the name, like
if you purchased a Nike shirt as opposed to a plain white one. We go
through a local manufacturer that uses a high quality, tightly woven carbon
fiber. Well, let us know. Have a good one and God bless.
They still didn't really tell me who makes them or give me any pics of there hoods.
