My odometer doesn't work.. and i have no idea why...
even the bottom one.. which i usually use to calculate my MPG.. also doesn't work..
Please help me

 

Is your check engine light on? It could be a problem with your speed sensor (located on your tranny), or (god forbid) a problem with your ECU. I would think that the CEL would trip for this, though. If your CEL is on, pull the codes and find out.

nope.. check engine light is not on..

 

Did this happen all of a sudden? Are you experiencing any other problems? What exactly is happening? Is it registering 0 miles?

It has something to do with the gears behind the guages getting stuck. Go here: http://www.angelfire.com/geek/vg30de...ix_Cluster.htm It is for a 300zx but the concept is the same. I need to do this to my car because mine will work for awhile and then stick for awhile. It sucks because I need to know when to change the oil and i like to see how my gas mileage is doing. anyway, good luck

right now.. it just works fine..
it happed yesterday.. right after i filled up gas..
i drove for 2-3 miles and both of odometer didn't move at all...
strange.. its ok now..

same thing hapenned to me a while back....

though i had pulled me cluster back so i could change bulbs behind it. I didn't unplug anything either. another time it just sudennly stopped working....

now all is good, and i haven't done anything

 

Mine still does not work. Going on 8 months now. Maybe it's a gift from God due to the Maximas low resale value. I might fix it eventually ....Hum....

 

ok.. right after i park the car for couple hours... odometer works..
but when i just make a quick stop.. odometer doesn't work after that..
strange..

 

well yu guys are lucky my odometer seems to be running ahead i go a mile it registers bout 1 1/2 miles aint fair
