Purchasing 2k2 wheels

Purchasing 2k2 wheels
My friend just got a 2k2 Max and already ordered new rims for it. He can sell me his stock ones for a good price. They look ok on 4Gens from the pics I've seen, but I don't know about the weight, and how much they would slow me down if it all. I am on my stock 15" steel wheels right now.

They look real good on the rims, they have a good sporty feel to them but they ride nice. Seem to have good traction in the rain too I would recommend them to anyone. How much did you get yours for?

Ok then, 2k2 rims are 24lbs. Adding tires will put you around 50-55lbs. Seems like i remember the 16's (97-99 SE) being around 20lbs. every 1 lb of wheel weight is about 8 lbs of weight in your car.

17" Se rims =24lbs
17.6lbs difference X 8 (wheel>static weight conversion) = 140.8lbs static weight increase. So its going to be like another person in your back seat. Thats enough to make a difference, like .2 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

Yeah, rotation weight is quite important.
