Hanabi HID kit install help

I'm ready to install my HID kit back in, I have been putting this off for awhile. The reason why I took off the HID kit off? Long story...don't ask.

Anyway, I forgot how it suppose to go. This is for the 6000k kit btw. I know there's a relay for this, but is there suppose to a fuse connector that connect to the + battery terminal? I don't seem to have that. Maybe it's not needed?

On to the wiring:
The wire that is marked with "out" goes to the out of the ballast right? And the one marked "in" goes to the in of the ballast? The other end of the one marked "out" show "starter", so I guess that goes to the starter? The other end of the one marked "in" isn't labeled, but I guess that goes to the connector on the lamp? The two connectors on the starter seem pretty straightforward as it seem it's a male/female type connection. So do I have this right? I can figure out the two prongs that go onto the wiring harness myself. I tried this, but it didn't work. Is the wiring wrong?

I know I could call Freddie, but this is the weekend, so he's probably not there. Actually, I called, nobody answered. So hope you guys can help. Thanks!

Mike

Its really easy, there should be colors on the end of the wires and connecters. You just connect the corresponding colors. The red with the circle on the end goes to positive battery, and the black with the circle you just ground it to something metal. Hope this helps, its really easy!

Well like I said mine doesn't seem to have any connectors to connect to the battery terminal.

Now you tell me you have the 8000k kit. It's totally different of an install from what Freddie told me. Oh well, I'll figure it out one way or another.

No battery connection needed.

Out goes to the bulbs

In goes to your existing headlight socket. The middle and one end. I believe the middle is ground and the end wire you need is green with a stripe. In any case the ends are for low beam and hi beam. So if you get the wrong one, your HID's will come on with your high beams, not the low beams. Just use the other end.

Starter goes to the starter.

It's really simple, just study it and use common sense.

Good luck!

If not, ask 97GLES (Freddie). He installed mine in like 5 minutes and made it look easy as pie. Actually it is easy as pie, once you know what you're doing (aren't most things though?)

the 6000k kit doesn't need a relay.

the 2 wires that have the small female conn go to the car harness. the black wire goes to the black wire & the red wire goes to the middle wire. thats it your done.

only the new 8000k and soon to come 7000k kits will need relay because they are stronger.

my new phone # is 201-993-3633

i hope this helps.

I actually had to put on a relay on my car. When I turn on the headlights, one flickered and then dies. It's like there's not enough juice going into the ballast. But it's most likely the car (It's for my Volvo).

try up-grading the headlight fuse in your car.

Did that. Tried 20A and then 30A. No luck. HID still flickered during start-up and then one dies (shuts off). So I took it off until the relay harness came in... Now I need a ballast from you cuz of my dog.

put the hid bulb thats flickering on the other side just to make sure it's not the bulb. then do the same with the balast.

I have to try that with one ballast (the dog incident...I'll get the paypal out to you after this...). I already bought the relay harness anyways, so that's going to go on too. By switching sides, how will that affect anything?

1 side is working good so you want to try the bad side bulbs first than you want to try the balast. your just checking the bad side with the good side part by part.

if you don't get it call me 201-993-3633

Freddie,

I just sent the money through paypal. Oh yeah, I was wondering...Do the ballasts ever get hot? I was planning on taping the starter on top of the ballast and I was wondering if it would get hot at all. Thanks for all your help. I will try and do what you suggested this weekend.

I'm sure I got everything right. Still doesn't work. I wonder could the HID bulbs be bad? How would I know? Is there a way to check?
