pics of my new car and question about lugs

Ok, here's the question... I bought a set of 17" Nippon Racing rims. The bolt pattern fits fine, but the lug nuts that came with the rims don't fit on the max. They fit on my old car (honda civic), and a couple other cars I tried, but not my max or my mom's max. So, can I just go to an auto parts store and buy the same lugs with a wider tread?, or is it more complicated than that? Also, here is a link to pics of the max I just bought yesterday...Thanks.

The thread pitch between Maxs & Hondas/Acuras are different. The Maxima's is 1.25 & the Honda/Acura's is 1.5 (95% sure of that). I have both a Max and an Acura so that's where I came across this detail. They are NOT interchangeable (as you now know!) Most tuner lugs should have this detail (i.e. 1.25 or 1.5) stamped on the outside. I don't recall what the unit of measurement is.
