knock sensor bad?

my engine light came on
0304 knock sensor circuit fault
0201 ingition signal primary circuit fault

my max feels the same way it did when one ignition coil went bad (shaking at uneven intrivals, felt like it was gonna die at any time)...except this time it constant.

i'v talked to a mechanic and he said that i have a "break in the wires between my distributer(don't have) and my engine(?)". you mean the ignition coil dude? ok, he also said check my engine harness. what the fkkk does that mean?

That means your "mechanic" doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

It also means you need a new knock sensor and you need to buy a Haynes manual and check your ignition system.

Re: knock sensor bad?

Mr Posnorder:

What was the fix for 0304 and 0201 the ECU codes? My wife's 99 maxi is having the same problem. I'm trying to figure out what I need to fix -- what did you do?
