Need instructions on installing springs.
Need instructions on installing springs. I tried searching for an hour already and found things that had nothing to do with springs. And other things pop up for installing. So I have to post now. So if some one please knows where I can get instructions that would be killer. Thanks

FRONT
Jack the front of your car up, both wheels off the ground and support it with safty stands.
1) Remove both front wheels.
2) Remove brake line clip
3) Remove ABS line 10mm bolt
4) Remove 2 lower strut bolts. 19mm nut, 17mm bolt
5) Losen the top nut on the piston. DO NOT REMOVE IT!!!!
6) Remove the 3 upper strut mount nuts. Either 14mm or 17mm
7) Remove strut from the car.
8) Place spring compressor on springs and compress until you feel them sit lose on the strut assembly.
9) Remove the top nut on the piston.
Watch carefully how the assembly comes apart. Clean everything, replace the strut bearing if needed, replace the springs isolators and dust boots if needed.
Assemble in the reverse order.
Most lowering springs DO NOT require a spring compressor to get them back on.
REAR
Jack up the car and support it with safty stands.
1) Remove both rear wheels
2) Remove the lower shock bolt. 17mm
3) Remove the 2 nuts from the upper mount. These can be accessed by pulling down the lining in back of the trunk. Where the rear seat is. You don't need to pull the sides off.
4) Grap the shock stem tightly and using a 14mm (or 12??) wrench, losen the top nut on the rear shock assembly. DO NOT REMOVE IT AT THIS POINT.
5) Compress the rear springs until there is no load on the shock.
6) Remove the top nut form the shock shaft.
Watch carefully how the assembly comes apart. Replace dust boots and lower spring isolator if necessary. Assembly is in the reverse order.

Most people prefer the OEM dust boots and isolators for this kind of job.
The KYB mounts and boots are ok too.
Haven't heard of anyone using anything else.
You'll need 4 front and 2 rear.
Front isolator #54034-85e10 $6.11 each 'SEAL-RUBBER'
Rear isolator #55031-33p10 $5.07 each 'SEAL-RUBBER'
Prices are from Jerry Rome Nissan with Maxima.org September discount.
All 4 springs need one on the 2nd coil from the top. The front springs need one on the bottom coil too.
The one on the 2nd coil is done to prevent the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd coils from making noise when they hit each other on those big bumps.
You'll hear people using things like wire wrap and polyurethane tubing, but its best to get the ones from Nissan. They're made to perfectly fit the springs and last longer.
Have fun. JP

The install is not terribly difficult, but it is time consuming. Expect to spend no less than 2 hours (maybe about 6 if it's your first time and your going slow!). I searched last weekend and found someone posted the pics of the suspension that were ina tech service manual. Unfortuanately I can't find the thread right now...
