Car doing funny things...help me

Ok...no windows roll up and interior locks don't work, driver side step light is always on...but very dim. When I go to lock and arm the system with the remote I can hear the doors lock, but the lights don't blink twice like they should do. I already tried replacing the step light bulb to see if magically they were linked but no luck.

Did I blow a fuse...or multiple fuses? Can anybody help me?

BATTERY!!!

check the car's main battery.

then check fuse boxes

if they do not cure the problem, ask professional help.

I bet your battery has about died. dim headlight, no window roll ups, and no blinks...

and when you are putting a new battery, don't put the genuine Nissan one--expensive, overpriced little thing at dealer price.

Go to local auto store and buy the "silver" type thing, which will outperform the genuine battery.

My 98SE did similar things when my alternator was dieing. so you should check that too.

Any members in the toronto area?

fixed

So this happened last night. I just unplugged the positive end from the battery and went to bed. Woke up in the morning, plugged it in and everything worked fine. I don't know what the problem was...I was really weird though.

Thanx Guys - Chad

It probably was a logic error in the ECU or other computerized system and leaving the car unplugged reset the system. I hope that your problem does not return.
