just installed my maxspeed with agx

first of all i love the ride...... it's nice and firm. got up this morning and it was really chilly..(by the way i live in chicago area) went to my buddys house and we started it. we started at 10 a.m. front ones were fairly easy. but rear ones we had to take it to the shop to use wall mounted spring compressor... which they charged me $20. and we got done @ 3 p.m. and we went for a little ride around the block. and first thing i noticed was that my steering wheel was really tight. and ride was very very firm which we loved. and ive been driving it for almost 3 hours(not 3hr straight). and right when i got home tonigt i noticed my car vibrates. and my steering wheel was tilted, i had to tilt the wheel to the right to go straight. what could it be? im getting 4wheel alignment next week with new tires. is it just alignment that needs to be done or what? can you guys help me~~??

thanks,
Tae

!!! you should really wait 1.5-2 weeks before you align the car, as the springs really need to settle !!!

Congrats on the install, can't wait to drop my Max. I bet cornering is excellent. Yeah it does sound like you need a alignment, I think when you change certain parts of your suspension it knock the alignment out...

Don't forget that the rear wheels can't be aligned. Don't pay for a 4 wheel alignment.

The steering is slightly tilted to the left, therefore I have to turn slightly more right to compensate, altho its hardly noticable. The vibration only occurs on hwy, but I think its due to my sh!tty tires which are Bridgestone Craptenza's that came with the car

solid rear axle, but you could replace the whole axle with a bent one i guess if you really wanted to do some kinda funky thing

hey, i am having same setup as you, haven't installed yet and i have a coupld of questions. looking @ the springs, which way is up? the front spring looks as if either side can be up. however in the rear, should the tighter coils be placed @ the bottom?? also, did u use any isolators? does the factory spring isulator fit over maxspeed spring? tks!!!

well you could tell by looking at the spring. when you see the maxspeed logo on the spring upside down then you got em wrong way. and yes i used all stock stuff that came off of springs. and i like the ride. except my front driverside is settling faster than passanger cause of driving it

thanks,
Tae

I'm waiting to buy my agx's soon. Can't wait to see some pics.. The vibration may also be to the tires that need to be balanced. Anytime the suspension is messed with, it can cause your alignment and balance to go out
