Well this combo is definately louder than stock. Nice deep tone. Awesome fit and finish.

I like it. I wish it was a tad bit quieter but oh well. Not sure if i lost any low end torque but outta 2nd into 3rd and up there is definately some oomph!

This is more of an info post for those wondering what this combo is like.

Hey thats the setup I'm contemplating ! I have everything except the Apexi WS. I still havent decided what to get for the catback. Could you post a little more detailed feedback? To be specific, I need to know at what RPM the apexi WS drones. Being loud is ok with me, but I don't want drones. I took off my old catback becuase that thing was droning like crazy between 1000 and 3200 RPM. How quiet/loud is the apexi ws during highway cruising? Please provide as much and detailed feedback as you feel like typing. thanks a lot !!

 

Though I don't have the same setup as your guys... I have Stillen everything.

You can always put a resonator in your b-pipe. That will not only cut down the drones, raspy sound and the loudness, it also gives your some low end back. Yes, I understand you buy a catback only to have a shop cut it and put a resonator back on, it's kind of stupid, but it really works! I love driving my car now!

It drones alot...

Of course when accelerating and decelerating. For me, the only time it doesnt drone is Highway Cruising. I usually do 80mph and its quiet.
I city drive alot so it seems to always be droning. Its more evident if you do alot of low mph crusing. Ill focus on what rpms it seem to be most present at and let you know.

Its nice at idle, a slight rumble.

Reving, its nice and deep, not super loud but definately aftermarket sound.

Running thru the gears when accelerating its loud....not to much drone since your on the throttle anyways. The CAI eventually blends in, creating a very cool tone.....approximately when the individual next to you, expression changes from "I can beat that p.o.s. maxima" to that "Uh Oh...what the heck is in that" look. Then your into 3rd... and gone.

Slow speeds (like crusiing in 1st, 2nd,etc...seems any speed it tends to drone.

To be honest, since this is our only car now, I think I would have gotten a b-pipe and maybe a 2k muffler or something to keep the sound down abit.

Dont get me wrong, I love it. My wife drives the car sometimes and shes not too fond of it. I cant blame her though. It's probably annoying if your not into cars like us guys.

Ok Update:

The rpm range is around the same. It really only "drones" for short periods of times as your accelerating. Once I get to whatever crusing speed, the drone dissapates. Its really not much louder than stock once your cruising. Higher cruising speeds like highway driving it is louder but thats to be expected.

But it does drone. If you lived around here we could meet up.
It actually seems to be getting quieter,.....maybe its just me.
Maybe the Apexi muffler is breaking in...starting to absorb more sound.....of course I could be delusional.

Regardless, I like the setup. Nice deep sound. Definately an improvement over stock, look kick a$$, and fits like a glove.

Maybe I can use my laptop to get a wave file of the sound.....

thanks for your feedback! It will quiet down significantly, i'm pretty sure. A friend of mine had a dual tipped style muffler put on his accord and it was very loud, but over couple weeks, it quieted down soooo much, and it was very nice after that. I wish I can take a ride in your car and see how it is. You're in NJ, i'm in VA. Where did you order the apexi ws? I think I'm just gonna go ahead and order one too !!

I ordered the RT Cat and WS from Options Auto. Hmmm the price shipped escapes me at the moment. I can tell ya when I get home. Ive read on the 4th gen forum that someone has it for 389 shipped? Not too sure.

I think both of them shipped was 654$ Im pretty sure the exhaust shipped was 441$ Shipping shouldnt vary too much.
