well i talked to my dealer today, and i have come to a conclusion... i am going to buy the gold max. but, here is the thing... i am only going to keep it untill he finds me a 2000 maxima se 5spd. so, thats the story... thanks for the imput. later guys, and wish me luck on my 5spd! (it's my first stick)

mmmmm...personally i'd say a big NO to the gold. i know it's only my opinion, but gold should be the color of your '76 Trans Am with the big eagle on the hood and the t-tops. i never have understood why there were so many gold maximas out there...they were the bain of my existence while i was shopping around.

I speed like a demon everywhere I go. The Gold (I call it Bureaucratic Beige) looks like 500 million Honda accords out there (from a few hundred yards), and to top it off who would drive a Gold maxima? My 55 year old mother and 50+ year old co-worker.
I honestly think the age demographic for Gold maxima's is seriously skewed towards the middle-aged.
That helps me Mr. Speedalot (Age 22).

hehehehe...you make an excellent point, and i can understand your logic. it does seem like mostly older people (above 40ish) buy the gold cars. i don't really mean to knock it, it's just not for me. what's odd is...i don't like the gold too much, but i love the pebble beach color and they're really not THAT different. go figure...
